I still don't get it. For a councillor representing a ward up on the mountain with it's own set of problems, Terry is really involved in the transit lane.

Also, why were there no qualifiers for the transit lane, like "Have you used the bus lane in the 1+ year it's been in existence" before asking if those riders felt it was beneficial?

When almost 2/3 of the respondents stated they never take transit, of course about the same number say they are not useful. MAybe another qualifier is "do you go downtown? If so, how often? At what time?"

I will admit, when the bus lane went in I was not a proponent of it. Having it in place though never really impacted me except at certain times of day and in making it a little more difficult to turn north on Bay and Hess. But, since my wife benefits from it on her way to and from work, it's changed my mind on it. I think it definitely needs tweaks - and they are not that major (still don't agree with moving the parking as a buffer, it's just asking for collisions with oblivious people opening doors into buses etc).

Terry's leadership on this has been sorely lacking. I think he means well, he really does, but is getting caught up in the "I receive XX calls a day about the bus lane" but isn't putting it into context.
