Well it doesn't say she wasn't so yeah, pretty safe to assume she was. Not that it would have likely done much good.

I just hope she comes through.

This is the reason I constantly take abuse and downvotes to come on this site and implore you people to push for a seperation of cars and bikes. If there isn't a space on a lane for a bike it doesn't belong there. Especially if it is a Highway for godsakes!

So the next time a driver is hurt or killed on a collision with another car, will you argue for the separation of cars and cars?

What we need are not simplistic platitudes but a change in how we look at the problem.

A cyclist struck by slingshot missile in Ancaster last night switched gears and chased down his attacker – in a truck.

The 51-year-old man was cycling down Shaver Road at 6:30 p.m. when he was hit by an unknown object launched by a slingshot-wielding teen in a passing vehicle, said Hamilton police spokeswoman Catherine Martin.

The victim, whose shoulder was cut by the flying projectile, pedaled to his nearby home, got in his truck and gave chase to the offending blue Ford Focus.

Martin said the man successfully tracked down his slingshot attacker, “cut off” the fleeing vehicle and its four occupants with his own truck and called police.

A 17-year-old Hamilton male is charged with assault with a weapon.

Ah yes, vigilanty justice. Citizens standing up to bullies and 17yo punks too. That kid is lucky he didn't get himself a good ol' fashioned a$$ kickin! I hope he has a strong father.
