Obstruct This

Amazing news out of California: according to the Los Angeles Daily News, a police officer cited an 82 year old woman with a $114 (USD) ticket for taking too long to cross an intersection.

Mayvis Coyle explains that the light changed from green to red before she had time to cross the five-lane boulevard. She claims the officer told her, "You're obstructing the flow of traffic."

That's the logic of sprawl in a nutshell.
