In what sounds to have been a tumultuous special meeting today, City Council approved the terms of reference negotiated with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on the Pan Am Stadium mediation process, which will be facilitated by Michael Fenn.

The city's representatives in the mediation will be city manager Chris Murray and tourism director David Adames. On the Ticat side will be Scott Mitchell and Doug Rye.

Council also agreed on an advisory team for Murry and Adames, which will comprise Councillors Bob Bratina, Scott Duvall, Lloyd Ferguson, Tom Jackson, Maria Pearson, Russ Powers and Mayor Fred Eisenberger.

Meetings between the City and the Ticats will go ahead, and Mr. Fenn is scheduled to provide a status report to Council by July 8, 2010. Fenn is also responsible to provide updates to the Pan Am Games Host Corporation and the news media.
